Here is
a list of things that your child should practice
and know before entering first grade:
 Identify and write the letters of the
alphabet, upper and lowercase.
 Write full name, first and last, using
uppercase letters at the beginning only.
 Know your birthday: date and year.
 Know your address: house number, street,
town, state, and country.
Identify and write numbers 1-10.
Recognize your name.
Know your phone number.
Know your shapes: circle, square, rectangle,
and triangle.
Know your colors: red, orange, yellow, blue,
green, purple, pink, brown, black, and white.
