During our school year, each child will have a turn being the Camper of the Week in our classroom.  This is a very special time and is very exciting for your child.     Your child will have an opportunity to share many things about themselves with their classmates each day.   You can find your child's special week below with the daily events.

Weekly Events

Monday Picture Time!

Please help your child choose pictures to share with the class (i.e. baby pictures, family, vacation, birthday, sports, etc.). No more than 10 pictures. The pictures will be displayed on a special bulletin board. We will take very good care of these pictures and return them the following week. Don't forget to make a visit to see our display!

Tuesday Talent Show or Show and Tell

Your child will be asked to showcase a talent (i.e. dance, song, instrument, joke, etc.) or bring in show and tell items (i.e. favorite toy, collection, awards, trophies, hand-made items, or anything else interesting that might tell us more about your child). No more than 5 items.

Wednesday Favorite Book

Your child will bring in his/her favorite book to share with the class.  Either the Camper of the Week or I will read the book to the class.  If the Camper of the Week is reading the book, please practice at home.

Thursday Interview/Class Book

The class will pretend to be reporters that will interview the Camper of the Week. This is an opportunity for other students to ask questions to get to know them better.  Then each child will write about the Camper of the Week and create a book called Special Child of the Day.

Friday Special Surprise

The Camper of the Week can bring in a surprise snack to share with the class and will be receive a special award.

I will send home a letter a week before so you can help your child prepare for their presentations.  We can't wait to learn more about each other!  If you have any questions, please drop me an email.
